Australian opposition leader Peter Dutton, who went missing several months ago, has been seen lurking in a Canberra drain, attempting to lure people down into the depths of the murky sewer with him.

The Liberal leader is thought to be moving about the city using the extensive drainage system only to pop up for the odd press conference or feast on an unsuspecting pedestrian.

Anyone who sees Dutton peering through a grate or using his talons to drag helpless victims to their deaths is urged to contact the police.
