Melbourne Cup Winner Knight’s Choice Arrested Following Wild Night of Celebrations
Australian-bred horse Knight’s Choice has been arrested after a big night of celebrations following his Melbourne Cup win.
The horse, who ran to victory in the 2024 Melbourne Cup despite having jockey Robbie Dolan on his back, was said to be “out of control” at Melbourne’s Crown Casino after the race, allegedly drinking over 15 pints of beer and ingesting cocaine, meth amphetamines and several hash cookies.
Witnesses say the Sheila Laxon-trained racehorse stood in the middle of the casino and screamed, “I’m the f**king hero, not that Dolan c*nt!!” before throwing up on a bouncer and running for the exit.
He was stopped by police several minutes later in a Honda Civic and arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol before being shot dead.
