How I dealt with anxiety by hiding in my house until the police were called

Anxiety can kill you. Don’t take my word for it; just ask anyone who has died from anxiety.
Simply walking outside can make you anxious, especially if you see someone getting murdered, run over by a car, or plummeting to their death from a tall building.
That’s because these things could happen to YOU! YOU could get murdered. YOU could get run over by a car. YOU could plummet to your death from a tall building.
The only way to avoid getting anxious about seeing these things is never to go outside.
With that in mind, here are three tips that helped me overcome my anxiety by hiding in my house until the police were called.
Stay inside, turn all your lights off and order food
As I’ve said, going outside and seeing how terrible the world can be is the opposite of what you want to do. Stay inside, turn all your lights off, and order food to be delivered. When the delivery person arrives, tell them to leave it by the door and only open it a crack to drag the food in—but NOT until they are gone.
Don’t answer the phone and be very quiet.
After a while, your friends will begin to worry that something has happened to you. At first, they’ll call you repeatedly, and when you don’t answer the phone, they’ll probably knock on your door and windows. If this happens, do what I do: lay on the floor under a rug and don’t even breathe. With any luck, they’ll go away.
Put more locks on your door and be ready with some kind of weapon when the police burst in
But soon, your friends will no doubt return with the police and maybe a psychiatrist. By putting a lot of locks on your doors and windows, you will be able to hold them off for a while, but when the cops eventually break down the door, be ready to lunge at them with a golf club or knife, screaming as loud as you can.
By implementing these three simple steps, you, too, can become anxiety-free.
