St Patrick's Day pub celebration ends in bloodbath after someone says "to be sure" once too often

Irishman Paddy Convery-O’Rielly-O’Henry-McGee, became annoyed when local revellers kept saying, “to be sure” to him every two minutes.

Three people have had their foreheads cracked open, and six others spilt their Guinness after an Irishman got pissed off with someone who said “to be sure” once too often.

What started as a friendly St Patrick’s Day drink at the ‘Wasted Leprechaun Pub’ in Brunswick soon turned nasty after 28-year-old Irishman Paddy Convery-O’Rielly-O’Henry-McGee, on holiday from Dublin, got annoyed with local revellers saying, “to be sure” to him every two minutes.

Travelling companion Shamus O’Blarney-McGoogle-O’Brother said his mate had had enough and simply cracked. “They kept saying, ‘to be sure, to be sure’ and ‘top of da mornin’ to ya’ and bollocks like that to us all day,” said the very drunk bearded backpacker. “Paddy just couldn’t take it anymore.”

Witnesses say Mr Convery-O’Rielly-O’Henry-McGee then headbutted everyone within headbutting distance, ultimately splitting a few heads open and knocking over several pints of Guinness in the process. “I think it was a bloodbath, but I’m not sure,” said another drunk person.

Following the fracas, everyone went back to drinking and forgot about it.
